In October, 2013, Raman Security Inspector RT1003, developed by Raman Product Department, New Business Center of Joint Research Institute, succeeded in the test conducted by European Civil Aviation Commission (ECAC), meeting the technical requirement standard II on non-opening liquid explosive detection devices (Class B). It is the second set of Raman-based security devices meeting the standard in the world. Also, it is the second type of civil-aviation passenger security inspection devices of NUCTECH passing testing by foreign authorities after the liquid detector.
