From 22 to 23 July, the 2nd Latin &Caribbean – China Think-Tank Forum, jointly sponsored by China Foundation for International Studies (CFIS) and the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), was held in Beijing.
State Councilor Yang Jieshi, Minister of Culture Cai Wu, Deputy director of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the CPC Chen Fenxiang and Deputy Minister of Commerce Wang Chao attended and addressed the ceremony. Altogether, more than 110 people were present in the forum including ex-ministers, ex-ambassadors, current diplomatic envoys, business representatives and scholars of think tanks from 17 Latin American & Caribbean countries, as well as their counterparts in China.
Mr. Wang Weidong, Vice President of NUCTECH, during his speech in the forum on behalf of Chinese enterprises, reported NUCTECH’s development in Latin America and Caribbean and generalized his experience in cooperation with local clients and partners in NUCTECH’s foreign businesses: mutual respect, complementary advantages, creation of value, and long-term cooperation, applauded wildly by the audience present. what was mentioned in his speech was highly appraised as a new model for tapping oversea markets and achieving win-win by cooperation under the new situation from Chinese enterprises.
