On Jul. 9, 2013, Beijing Municipal Commission for Science and Technology (BMCST) held a meeting on evaluation and acceptance of Back-Scattering Human Security Inspection System (BSHSIS) – on of key projects under BMCST at NUCTECH’s Miyun Base for Education, Production and Research. President Mr. Chen Zhiqiang, Vice President Mr. Li Yuanjing, as well as members of the project team, were present in the meeting.
Amid the meeting, President Mr. Chen Zhiqiang who is responsible for the project presented the work report on the project and the deputy director of the New Product Center of the Joint Research Institute Mr. Jin Yingkang addressed on technical aspects on behalf of the project team. In the presence of the panel of experts and the heads of BMCST, the prototype was performed and tested for the performances in the field where it was developed and made. The conclusion made by the panel of experts from evaluation is: “The back-scattering human security inspection system, whether the basic or the extended, meets the urgent need on human security inspection and technically fill the blank at home, a leading product in the world and with independent intellectual property right. The product is promising for the technical performance is beyond the expectation. The project conducted under efficient management realized the product in a quick way, and will gain good economic and social benefit significantly.”
The project was successfully implemented by using the governmental funds in an effort to quicken translation of key innovative technologies into products and promote scientific and technologic progress in Beijing. It is of vital importance for NUCTECH to improve management on technologic projects, develop innovative talented people at higher levels and promote the long-term growth driven by scientific and technologic innovation.
