IAEA International Cooperation Project held a theme forum on electronic irradiation in Beijing. International irradiation experts from the USA and Poland etc. and people in the home irradiation industry visited NUCTECH base for production, education and research in Miyun on 5 Dec. 2012 and NUC IS0705 Irradiation System at Tianjin Quarantine Bureau on 6 Dec., focusing on NUCTECH’s accelerator workshop, 10MeV/20kW High-energy Large-power Back-wave Irradiation Accelerator, the conveying units and the integration systems as well as a irradiation project in Tianjin - 7.5MeV/5kW Irradiation Accelerator and its application.
During the visit, the international experts and delegates were impressed by NUCTECH’s overall strength and high-energy large-power irradiation accelerator technology, which expanded NUCTECH’s international influence in the irradiation area. This event will lay a firm foundation for the future development of the irradiation industry.
